The Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board of Lorain County is a special purpose governmental agency charged with planning, evaluating, coordinating, funding and contracting for the delivery of publicly-financed, privately-coordinated, alcohol and other drug addiction prevention, treatment, wellness and recovery services for the benefit of Lorain County residents.
Pursuant to the Internal Revenue Service, Charitable Contributions can be made to the ADAS Board and are tax deductible under Section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code - if made for a public purpose.
There are eighteen Lorain County residents appointed to the ADAS Board. Members serve four-year terms and are appointed either through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services or the Lorain County Commissioners. We currently have vacancies and welcome new members. You should be a resident of Lorain County and interested in working under the mission of the ADAS Board. the ADAS Board meets monthly, on the third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm. Members also receive a training annually.
